Pergola with Mosquito Net

SamantaFox
Hello everyone,

I’m considering installing a pergola with a mosquito net for my outdoor space and would really appreciate some advice from people who have real experience with it.

How effective are mosquito net systems in everyday use, especially during summer evenings? Do they provide good protection against insects, and how well do they hold up over time with wind, rain, and frequent opening and closing?

I’ve had experience with similar setups, and Lousol https://www.aluminumpergola.ca/recent-projects/mosquito-net-pergola/  pergola systems work quite well for this type of use.

The mosquito net panels are generally effective during summer evenings and provide good protection against insects when properly closed. In everyday use, they hold up well, but like any moving system, it’s best to avoid leaving them extended in strong wind or heavy rain to extend their lifespan.

From what I’ve seen, Lousol systems are built with durable materials and designed for regular use, so with basic care they don’t require frequent repairs and stay reliable over time.
